Live From Bethlehem

Fletcher was invited to participate in the St. Andrew Children's Christmas Program. They don't practice over time, they just get all the kids together in one night and whomever is there is part of the performance that they run through one time before the final show! That way the coordinators don't have to do rehearsal after rehearsal and they don't have to worry about a key character not showing up.

Fletcher was a sheep, Reece was a shepherd, and Rylie was an angel.

Apparently, Fletcher was good during the rehearsal, but when I showed up it did not appear that way. He wouldn't listen and follow directions and he wanted to play with Holden and tell people that he was his baby brother.

Here's a picture before the show started.

Here is Holden watching the show with the Gangemi Family.

Here is Rylie participating in her little angel part.

Reece as a shepherd.

Fletcher was the one and only sheep. And one part of two kids that wouldn't stop running around the stage instead of standing still next to the stars of this scene. He was all over the place and wouldn't stop running around. I actually went up to him and forced him to sit down, and then he just pushed the envelope by scooting around on his hiney.

Lebo Gangemi decided to bring Holden into the show and held him during the final song.

During the song, you can see Reece and Rylie singing along nicely.

Then there's my oldest son...laying and sliding around on the floor. I told them later that they should have had a black sheep costume.

At the end of the show, this was the best picture I could get of the entire cast. Fletcher is down in front by the star and Holden is way in back on the left in Lebo's arms.

Finally, the kids and families enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate after the show. When Reece finished his whole cookie, he asked Fletcher to share. Fletcher broke off half of his remaining cookie and gave it to Reece! So, although he's a handful...he sure is a sweet boy sometimes!

Thanks St. Andrew for being so understanding of my little sheep and his behavior! I'm happy that Fletcher's first church program is over! (Although this was just the first of three for this weekend!)
