I took Holden to get his picture taken with Santa on the 15th of November! Fletcher went grocery shopping with Opa and Oma so I could take Holden on his own. I figured Fletcher wouldn't want to be near Santa on his own, and I just wanted to get a picture of Holden with his first Santa Claus without anyone else. Just like I did with the Easter Bunny.
Holden did a fabulous job considering he fell asleep on the way there and I woke him up, threw him into the stroller, covered him from the downpour outside and ran through puddles to get into the mall. We had our fast pass but didn't need it and before you knew it, I plopped my child into a stranger's lap and paid for pictures of it!
I have to say, the Santa they have at this mall is a great Santa Claus! Maybe Jesse will grow up to be a great Santa one day with a real white beard. Who knows? He can laugh at people trying to get their kids to smile.
I wonder if this Santa goes home and tells ridiculous stories to his family. Maybe he gets annoyed with having to sit there and try to hold a wonderful grin while parents wait for the perfect shot. I mean, Santa isn't allowed to get mad, right? I know I had to look like a goof ball trying to get him to smile, but when you get a grin like this, all that silliness is worth it!
As Fletcher's been saying, "Ho, Ho, Ho...Merry Christmas!"
