Glendale Glitters

On Friday night, Mom and I took Fletcher and Holden to Glendale Glitters in downtown Glendale. They drape the trees with tons of Christmas lights and have activities for families and different groups performing on the stage.

Fletcher and Holden witnessed a human hamster race...I can see that taking place in their future one day. There was also a petting zoo and horsey rides, but even with a bunch of coaxing, Fletcher did not want anything to do with the animals. Even when the lady offered to just let him pet one of the horses, he wouldn't leave the stroller's side. I don't force him to do a bunch of that stuff. He seems to be a scaredy cat of some things and that just might be how he is for now. To be honest, I don't mind avoiding livestock myself.

Fletcher was not scared of the candy apples though and quickly pointed to some with sprinkles. We distracted him from that mess when we bought some fudge and pasta instead.

Before leaving, we walked down Glendale Avenue and this hoppin' place was the restaurant that we had our rehearsal dinner at nine years ago...Haus Murphy's. Now, it was in a different building back then, but it's still on the same street and still a local favorite. Hopefully we'll get there before we leave!
