Pumpkin Patch
I took the boys to the nearest pumpkin patch we have. It is about 5 minutes away. It's really a farmhouse that brings in pumpkins and mums, but it's exciting for Fletcher and was a great spot to take pictures of him over the last two years. I intended it to be Holden's first pumpkin patch and got him dressed up to go one morning, but they were closed. Turns out this year they are closed two days each week. So, instead of taking him on his own while Fletcher was at school, I wound up taking them together.
Holden was very busy watching Fletcher play or looking at all the colors or trying to eat hay or grass. So, he was not cooperating for pictures. Fletcher tried to get him to look in the right direction. Fletcher cooperated, but the sun was bright and if I took pictures in the opposite direction, all of those water spots showed up in the images. So...I had to just take pictures and get over it. This was a great way to spend an hour. The weather was gorgeous once again this year.
Fletcher gave Holden a hug and then gave him kisses, but my camera was too slow catching those at the right time.
When Holden pulls up on the furniture at home, Fletcher likes to get next to him to do what he's doing. The same happened here. Holden wouldn't sit in this spot for me, he was obsessed with turning around and standing up next to the pumpkins.
While Fletcher drove the tractor, Holden played with the little pumpkins that the owner gave us for free.
Fletcher picked out purple mums and a pumpkin for Holden to bring home and then we stopped to see the family pig. This is the baby pig from last year...he is now HUGE!
