Nursing this child has been different from the only other experience I personally have known. It isn't bad or better...just different. First of all, he preferred one side over the other, but I wouldn't let him stick with it. Second, my production is less because he isn't demanding as much as his older brother did. He also goes longer between feedings than Fletcher ever did. I have been pumping, but not as much this time around, although I hope to build a supply to use later in the first year when I may want my body back for myself.
Fletcher loves the pump, as you can see.
Although it's been different, the dairy farm is open for business again and we are stocking the deep freezer.
On April 1, 2012, Holden had his first experience having milk from the bottle. He did not suck it down as quickly as his brother did when he was in that place, but he did take it all with some agitated breaks here and there...which tends to be how he feeds in general. Fletcher helped Daddy give him the bottle. I put the video of it in a separate post so you can check that out there.

Caroline was like Fletcher. Would eat fast and a ton. She then like to empty that too full of a stomach.
Julia sounds more like Holden. Eventhough they both were great nursers you are right in they can be so different!!!!
It's great that you are getting Fletcher involved in some "firsts" for Holden!
