I can't believe Holden is 10 months old already! His entire tenth month was spent in Arizona. We stayed in NC until he had his nine month well check appointment. At that appointment, they told me there was some fluid in his ears. Well, we flew on a Thursday and by Sunday and then Monday afternoon, he a fever! It was high on Sunday, then fine on Monday morning, then spiked up to 103 on Monday afternoon.
They got me right in and told me that they had seen a lot of sick kids that day, but he was the worst patient! My poor baby. He was just clinging to me and burning up. What was wrong? Horrible double ear infection. He got a shot of Rocephin and Zithromax for five days. His follow-up went well and in fact, the boys were both very healthy after all that. Until...the end of our last work week in Phoenix. I took both boys in based soley on my feelings about them, really. Turns out Holden had another ear infection (so if you're keeping track, that made four ear infections in two months...different meds each time), and Fletcher had a sinus infection. As much as that stunk, I'm so glad we went in on that Friday rather than waiting it out and flying Monday morning with two terribly sick kids.
Anyway, back to Holden's 10th Month! Here's the top ten list for his 10th Month!
10. Time with Fletcher at Grandma and Grandpa's in Glendale, Arizona.
9. Cruising turns to supported walking.
8. Eating more regular food! Eating more in general!
7. Sleeping better...well, letting Mommy sleep better (because Grandma had some late nights with Holden, getting a taste of how determined he can be when he doesn't want to sleep!)
6. Waving bye-bye and hi.
5. Blowing kisses.
4. Cutting his top two front teeth.
3. Meeting more family and a bunch of Mommy's friends.
2. Celebrating his very first Christmas.
And the number 1 thing for Holden's 10th month...Welcoming Daddy back home!
