I love you!

I was just talking to Jesse the other day about how Fletcher still hasn't graced us with the words, "I love you." Well...guess what?!? He has finally said it! Here's the interesting way it went down...

I was nursing Holden in our lounge chair on September 5, 2012 and Fletcher was running around me staying busy, doing whatever he does in his little imagination. He came next to the chair and I always try to caress him when he's nearby and pauses for a moment. I was running my fingers through his hair and put my hand on his cheek as he looked up at me.

"I love you, Fletcher," I said as I leaned in to kiss him. He kissed me back and came around the front of the chair. "Do you love me?"

"No," he replied as he turned slightly away from me.

Turning back, he leaned into Holden, "I love Baby," giving him a kiss on his head.

"You love Holden, but you don't love me?"

"I love Knuckles."

He turned back toward me and came around the side of the chair again.

"I love you," I said to him again.

He looked up at me and grinned, "I love you."

"Oh! You finally said it! You finally said 'I love you!'" I showered him with kisses. "Say, 'I love you, Mommy.'"

"No," as he walked across the room.

He turned and came back, "I love you, Mommy."

Awwwww....I love it. And I love him. So sweet!
