Fletcher's Promotion...

To the two-year-old room! Hahahaha!

I think it is so funny that our society has ceremonies for practically everything these days! But, we're game to go celebrate with our son. So, we returned to school on Wednesday after vacation and found out there was a graduation ceremony on Thursday night. The graduates were those in the four-year-old room and others got promoted. Everyone seemed to get a certificate for something (another thing we now do!)

Although Fletcher knew the words to the songs they sang, he just stood there staring at the audience, not saying a word until he saw me and wanted to come by us. Granted, he wasn't there for any of the rehearsals, but we know he knows the words! Then he lost interest in what was going on and was all over the place. I even had to move up and sit on the floor in the front to keep him up on stage. The program was from 7-8:15ish, which is typically his bath and bed time at home. Many of the other children were actively not participating as well. It was just too long for little bodies. This was the very first of these ceremonies for his school, so it was new to all of them as well. I managed to capture some pictures and take video.

Here he is during the singing of "The Lord's Army." (I know! I can't believe he isn't doing anything either!)

After awhile, he just came and sat in these chairs and was joined periodically by others and he'd go back up and down as well.

They did a skit and he wanted to go stand by the main character.

Here is Ms. Alice, the director, and her husband, Pastor Charles.

Here is Fletcher with Ms. Brandi, his teacher and her daughter and then he's with Ms. Alice.

Ms. Brandi gave him a gift bag with all these goodies, the large green book, and the certificate! They are so incredibly nice there and we love the fact that he loves to go!
