Boulder: Day One

So, the whole reason we went to Colorado in the first place was because our nephew, Aaron, was graduating from high school in Boulder. We just decided to add the three weeks of vacation on prior to the weekend in Boulder. So, when it was time to leave Avon, we decided to drive through El Dorado Canyon and walk some of the trails. However, once we got to El Dorado Canyon, we didn't really see what the hype was all about, so we ended up just driving through it. I didn't even take any pictures. But, it was nice that it put us into Boulder right next to the Flat Irons, so I got some pictures of them before we headed through downtown and over to the other side of the city where we were staying.

We lucked out and found a B&B right down the street from Jon and Virginia's house. We booked well enough in advance to get two adjoining rooms, so my parents stayed in one side with Fletcher and we stayed in the other side with Holden. Since I'm up a lot during the night nursing him, we thought Fletcher would sleep better in the room with Grandma and Grandpa. When they arrived at the B&B, Grandpa Cunningham got to meet his newest grandson!

Grandma Cunningham couldn't resist some snuggles herself.

After unpacking and getting settled a little bit, we headed over to the Anderson Home to see what was going on there. We arrived about 15 minutes after Amy and Budd and everyone hung out for the evening, visiting and eating pizza. I had to get Holden's picture with anyone that held him, as he was meeting more family than just Grandpa this weekend!

Here he is with Aunt Virginia and Aunt Amy.

Here is Aaron, the graduate.

Here's Holden with Budd.

We also took pictures of various groups in the backyard. Here's Mom and Dad.

We set up the self-timer and got a picture of the entire family. Here's the best shot and then a silly one to follow.

Here are the grandkids: Aaron, Fletcher, Avery, Holden, Jackie, and Joshua. Then we added the Cunningham Grandparents.

Jackie threw the football with Amy and Budd. The rest of the crew played on the playground and around the house. Jesse, Jon, and Budd set up the canopies for the weekend's festivities.

It was great to see everyone again and I was really happy that Jesse was finally able to make it to Boulder with us! This was my fourth time visiting the Anderson's and I finally got him there!
