Tubes for our Tike

Holden had tubes inserted in his ears this morning. Jesse moved him to the car at 6am for a 6:30am check-in. He was the first surgery of the morning. Jesse took some pictures of our little one as he got doped up before going back to be put under. He did very well and 15 minutes after Jesse walked back into the waiting room, Dr. Francis came out to tell him everything went well. They were back home shortly after 9am.

It's amazing how calm I really was about this whole thing. Maybe it's because Fletcher's procedure included a tonsillectomy, but it also included me trying to find someone to be here with Holden, a different recovery, Jesse wasn't here, and I was taking two college courses. November was just a stressful month. But, this was scheduled on Friday and carried out today and I didn't really stress too much. I also like how the surgical center didn't make us go in for a pre-op this time. They have changed their procedures, so I wasn't stuck doing that most of Monday or Tuesday.

I was stuck at the doctor with Fletcher this afternoon, followed by an hour at the pharmacy because he has croup...again. They don't seem to be concerned about his eyes draining goopy stuff...probably allergies, but interestingly enough...it started when we left here and went to Arizona.

Anyway, here are some pictures of Holden from early this morning. He was pretty much himself later in the day. Oh, and Jesse did a great job taking care of him at the center this morning and even got a bit emotional himself. Ahhh...my boys, big and small.
