So, we headed on over to The World of Coca-Cola to check out one of America's greatest icons!
When we first went in, we had to wait for a tour to begin. During the trivia and historical information part with our tour guide, a man collapsed and a nurse and doctor in the crowd assisted him while 9-1-1 was called and we were escorted out of that room and into a theatre for a short film. After the movie they informed us that he was okay.
After the movie, we went out into the main lobby area and took some pictures.
We went by an old marble soda fountain and then wandered around looking at other Coca-Cola memorabilia.
I loved the display of Olympic Torches that they had. (As you know Coca-Cola is one of the largest sponsors of the Olympics...and I just love the Olympics.)
These were a bunch of Coca-Cola pin sets.
Here Fletcher is sitting on one of the American Idol couches.
We went to a 3D movie experience. Holden slept through the entire thing. (We sat in the chairs that didn't move.) He was clingy again all day today. There was really no point to the movie, but it was fun and included in the cost of the ticket.
We ended our walk through the building in the tasting room. There were fountains set up on kiosks all around the room, each one representing a different continent. Each fountain housed drinks specifically crafted for that continent. You could taste as many as you like, but of course...our bodies cannot handle that much sugar, so we tried just a few here and there. Not to mention, nobody seemed to have consideration for others in there...just crowding and pushing their way around. ERRR...
Did you know that Coca-Cola does over 70% of their business outside of America? It makes sense, but I guess I just didn't realize that!
We then went through the gift shop before exiting. We tried to walk over to the Superdome to take Fletcher's picture with his Falcons shirt on in front of it, but the wind was severely strong and cold and it just wasn't worth it, so we did it back in the hotel room from our window.
