We took a day and visited Jesse's aunt and uncle in Banner Elk while we were so close to them! We chatted and the boys played and then we ate lunch before heading back to the hotel for naps. Not only did we get to see Pete and Nel, but we also got to see Zac because he was spending time with his grandparents for a few weeks.
The weather was nice this morning. So, we were outside quite a bit. Holden loved Great Aunt Nel's pinwheels. He also picked me some flowers and shared Fletcher's truck with him.
Fletcher got to "drive" Zac's Jeep. Both boys got a kick out of Pete's tractor too.
On our way back to the hotel, we stopped at the General Mast Store in Valle Crucis. Jesse and his family (and now me, too) have some memories of that place. It's one of those when-you're-nearby-you-stop-there stores.
It was great to see some family for a day and we enjoyed our visit with the Leslie's at their cabin in the mountains.
