Local Fair

We intended to take the boys to a fair at the middle school, but Holden was sick for days...very, very sick. So, Jesse stayed home with him and I took Fletcher. We each got an unlimited ride armband, and the weather wasn't all that great, so nobody was really there, which meant...he got to ride each ride about three times without having to get off and go somewhere else first.

He even asked to ride this "real" roller coaster, which I couldn't ride with him, so I just watched and took pictures. I was shocked that he held it together. He was pretty frightened by it, but just held on, and appeared to hold his breath until it was all over. He didn't want to ride this one again.

My favorite was the ferris wheel of course.

The poor little animals in the petting zoo/kangaroo pen/pony ride area...they were so cramped!

Finally, we had to go over and see the helicopter. He wanted to ride in it, so we were going to go up, but then he got scared. They let him get in and he was still scared. At some point, he couldn't decide whether he should smile or remain fearful. So, we didn't take a ride, we just looked at it.

Before we left, we got some BBQ plates and Indian Fried Bread to take home for lunch. It was a cold morning, but Fletcher and I had a great time!
