So much happens in the first year of life, that I'm trying to keep up with Holden as he is rapidly growing! But, Fletcher is so busy and full of fun that I need to put the spotlight on him for the moment.
Whenever I take the camera out to take pictures of Holden, he wants his picture taken, indicated by him eagerly saying, "Cheese!"
One early morning, after a very long night of being up with Holden, I did what I typically try not to do. I gave Fletcher some milk and brought him in bed with me. Of course, all he wanted to do was play. He got down and was all around, while I rested. There's a cabinet in our kitchen he gets in and plays with the canned goods. He was bringing them to me repeatedly. I knew he was playing around back and forth between our room and the kitchen. I learned my lesson when I finally pulled myself away from the pillow. He had gotten into the freezer, opened two boxes of butter sticks, unwrapped each individual stick and so kindly walked them all to my nightstand. I just had to take a picture. I couldn't believe it!
Here he is exploring the double stroller.
He's sporting one of my favorite outfits...the lifeguard look here.
As I said in a previous post, I've taken a slight interest in food and trying new recipes. One show I've been watching is Rachael Ray. Fletcher likes to watch anyone cooking and as you can see here, he was cooking with Rachael in this picture. He's really into playing with his toy kitchen items right now.
He is also into playing in the kitchen. Here are said canned goods I mentioned above. I don't mind, but I don't like it when he removes the labels! One annoying thing he does is in this picture as well. He somehow gets his milk out of his cup (sometimes putting it in his mouth, and then spitting it...YUCK!) and into the smaller cups and then drinks from them. (He loses his milk for said behavior these days.)
One reason I've been so behind on blogging is the 2012 Olympics! I'm sorry, but I love the Olympics and especially the summer Olympics and I don't care if my kids see the Olympics ALL.DAY.LONG! If anything, I hope it inspires them some day. Gymnastics was by far Fletcher's favorite sport. The running and jumping just can't be beat. He now does Gymnastics across the room and all over the place. He was moving so much that this was the only picture I could get of him actually stopping to watch for a minute.
One of his favorite people (Lauren, of Alo Imagery) came by to take professional pictures of Holden and our family before Jesse left. I had to get a picture of them together.
So, there's a little update on Mr. Fletcher for now! (In fact, as I noted in the comments...I changed the publishing date of this post and realized later that it posted before the Olympics even happened...but at least I'm documenting!)

I love reading your blog. I have gotten increasingly worse about updating mine as time goes on. I thought for sure this summer would give me some time...and yet...
Good job!!!!
Thanks for the kudos, Lisa! I don't normally reply to comments on the blog...maybe I should. But I just realized that I changed the date on the post (because I'm trying to make it appear like I'm keeping up closer to real time than when I'm actually getting around to this!) and I dated it before the Olympics even started and 3 weeks before Lauren came over to take pictures! Ha! Oh well...at least it's documented!! Glad you're still reading.
YAY! I loved the update on Fletcher and totally laughed about the butter sticks. :) The boys did that to me once when I had a stomach bug, only switch out butter for Tonka trucks all over the bed. :) Mama's just can't catch a break sometimes.
