After a few nights in Boulder, Fletcher and I went back to Denver just in time for Graham to play Daddy Daycare for his girls and my boy so Kat and I could go to the Denver Broncos game. It was probably one of their worst games in history, so they told me I can't go back. We still had a lot of fun, even though we had a group of Raiders fans in front of us!
After the game, we met everyone back at Kat's parent's house. They have watched us grow up since college and now have fun watching the little ones as they grow. Her parents have always been so welcoming to me and I just love to see them whenever I can. They are just wonderful, wonderful people.
Kat, Graham, and I met Freshman Year at Arizona State, when we were on the same floor in Palo Verde East Dorms. Kat and I continued to be neighbors the following year and after my semester abroad, she moved in with me and her original roommate from the dorm to finish out our college lives together. We adorn our children in Sun Devil attire when we can and a trip to the pool was such the occasion for Fletcher's sweatsuit.
We went to the girls' swim lessons early to play in the pool and go around the lazy river. Fletcher just loved it! All the adults took turns going down the two waterslides that were in the recreation center too. It was a great way to escape what had been the coldest day of weather for him at that point. (Recently that was surpassed.)
Kat was on fall break from work while we were there, so we were able to go to the library.
We were also able to make a quick trip to the park.
It was pretty cold, so we did not stay long.
And time with Kat without shopping in one way or another is just unheard of. So, we carted the kids around in one store and I'm the one who bought something!
On top of work and the girls' activities, Kat joined a soccer team and the whole family got to see her play for the first time. She did quite well!
The library, swings, soccer game, and making it to Colorado were all firsts for Fletcher and I think he had a great time being surrounded by such beautiful ladies as well.
I had a great time seeing Kat and Graham and Julia again, as well as Howard and Susie and I also loved meeting Caroline! Our college family is simply growing!
