Fletcher's first flight was from Fayetteville, NC to Minneapolis, MN through Atlanta, Georgia the 19th through the 24th of May, 2010. Here are some pictures from the journey there and back for our little five week old baby boy.
Here he is on the first flight from FAY to ATL.
Here he is in ATL.
We boarded the terminal train to get to our next flight, but it wasn't budging. We finally decided to walk, figuring something was wrong.
There was. Apparently, there was a fire somewhere on the line, so we walked...with everyone else in the entire airport. It was a nightmare. This was in front of us.
This was behind us.
And this is what I was concerned about.
After all the craziness, we found ourselves headed to Minnesota.
Here he is on the terminal train there.
Then we boarded the metro to take us into central Minneapolis.
Here's Fletcher's first hotel room at the Westin in the downtown area.
One of the things we wanted to do while we were there was go to the Mall of America. I had been there before with my cousin, Leah, but Jesse just wanted to check it out. So we took the metro there and met up with Leah for lunch and walked around a bit.
I got use out of the baby carrier. Fletcher got used to the comfy bedding that the Westin had to offer.
We did not have a bath tub in our room, so he took a couple showers with me at our hotel. One night we used the bath in Grandma and Grandpa's hotel room at the other hotel. This was the very first time he was in a large bath tub. We used towels to give him some traction.
Before we knew it, we were heading back home. Here's Jesse and Fletcher on the metro back to the airport.
We found Snoopy there and then got on the plane.
We asked one of the flight attendants if we could get a picture with the pilot. They allowed us to do so after everyone was off the plane. He even let us into the cockpit with him.
Introducing Captain Fletcher.
This time, the terminal train was working in Atlanta, so we used that to change terminals.
The shirt says it all in the next photo. Here's Fletcher when we got back to Fayetteville. We had to change him in the airport before getting our luggage because he had made such a mess in his diaper.
