Wordy Wednesday for Once

I feel like I haven't been on here in awhile and I was doing so well! Things, needless to say, have been super busy. I feel like everything around me is sitting in limbo. I am making work my top priority and have brought it home with me every weekend for the last four weekends, plus I have something to do each night. Typical for most teachers, I know. However, planning for a substitute for 6 weeks is quite the task. Being in 3rd Grade adds more explanation of testing protocols for all the tests I'll be away for too. Having an early withdrawl date before I return also leaves them to be the one to wrap up everything for the child before they go, never to return. Today I hope to get reading groups lined up for Fourth Quarter. Once I get things cleared away for the sub, I can work over the next week on Third Quarter Report Cards. And there's much, much more...I could go on forever about it. The point is: I want to have everything lined up that I possibly can so I don't have to think about it at all while I'm away.

That's when I'll be concentrating on stuff at home. Piles surround me in each room here, but I'll get to them when I can. I figure the baby will be good to go with me, Dad, diapers, and a place to sleep. The rest will fall into place over time.

In addition to those two things, we have been tying up loose ends with other "stuff" like taxes, hitting the shopping list to purchase more and more baby items, taking the dog to the vet, doctor's appointments, and work and school things. For instance, I have to update my certification and my DoDEA status, which I want to do before the arrival of our new one. Little things just keep coming up, but that is life, isn't it?

I'm exhausted on a lot of days and the kid isn't even here yet. Apparently my snoring is out of control if you ask Jesse. But I'd like to mention that his snoring wakes me up too. In addition to peeing, uncomfort, cramping, and heartburn. The joys of pregnancy. I still like this time better than the first 5 months where I was vomiting multiple times a day.

Getting through each work week is a small success for us as we really don't want him to come until after April 2nd when I'm on spring break. My feet are swollen most of the time now where a few weeks ago it was simply by Thursday or Friday afternoon. Let me tell you...they are so attractive. I'm measuring right on schedule (38 weeks this Friday) and the doctor's best guess of baby size at this time is 7lbs. 10oz., but I feel that there's no way to know for sure until he's here and weighed.

I took pictures at 36 weeks, but never posted. I'll try to take another this weekend and post both at some point. We went up to Raleigh for the weekend to go to REI and Babies R Us, and wound up going to a ton of different places. We enjoyed a night at The Melting Pot for Jesse's birthday and one of the last times it's just the two of us deciding what we'll be doing for a few days. We had a pretty good time just getting away together.
