Pictures from Kitty Hawk, NC June 2010

Fletcher made it to the beach and got to see the Atlantic Ocean just after his two month birthday. He didn't play in the water or sand, but rather lounged around quite a bit...mostly on the deck or inside the beach house. Every time we'd try to enjoy the beach or get some sun, he seemed to want to eat or need something, so we are really glad we were right on the beach instead of a block away or we'd have never seen our family that came there to be with us.

Jesse's first Father's Day was spent there. Grandpa got to spend it with all of his kids and grandkids too, so that was nice!

Since Fletcher would be up to eat, we saw several sunrises over the ocean.

Here's the beach house from the water.

Aaron, Stephanie, Rylie, and Reece were visiting for three weeks and this week was right in the middle of that time.

Amy came from Texas as well and brought her boyfriend, Budd along with her.

Knuckles enjoyed the water and sand with Jesse quite a bit.

We each took turns making dinner throughout the week.

Rylie and Reece flew kites with Grandma and Grandpa.

We got to see a lot of dolphins and birds from our deck.

Grandma and Grandpa Cunningham also made a vacation out of the trip here and toured around a bit the week before we met up in Kitty Hawk.

Like I said, Jesse and I were inside a lot or on the deck, playing in the pool we brought. But how could you get frustrated with this character?

Rylie and Reece would swim in the pool after long days on the beach as well.

I had to get some pictures of Grandpa with Fletcher in his "Grandpa's Sidekick" shirt.

In addition to Father's Day, we celebrated Amy's, Grandma's, and Stephanie's birthdays.

Fletcher took up indoor surfing while we watched The World Cup on TV.

Here's another sunrise and more birds.

At the end of the week, we took some family pictures.

Aunt Amy also finished a cross stitch that she made for Fletcher. She's so talented with that!

Aside from all this, we played a lot of games and everyone except Jesse, Fletcher, and I went to check out some of the lighthouses and the Wright Brothers Museum and Memorial. For the most part, I think everyone was glad they made the trip to the East Coast.
