Someone turns one this month and we had a celebration in Phoenix this past weekend. A party at the park is what I went for with pizza and cupcakes and a playground for the kids to play on. I think it went pretty well. The birthday boy was out of sorts and had fallen asleep less than an hour before the start of the party. He was definitely not 100%, but he hung in there for the duration of the party. I invited an odd mix of people from swimming, high school, college, work, church, and friends of the family and there was a very nice turnout to celebrate this milestone.
The playground was a hit!
I made plenty of cupcakes and a turtle cake.
Eating cupcakes and pizza for the first time brought a slight smile to Fletcher's face.
Lots of pictures were taken of the big event of course!
And this was the first of the first birthday celebrations for this little guy!
