We have a name!

Jesse's been home for a little over a week. This weekend his parents brought our baby furniture up. He and his dad put it together on Saturday. We have managed, up to this point, to keep the computer desk downstairs in the baby's room. Since we plan on using the bassinet for the first few months, we are hoping this will work out for awhile. We moved bookshelves and a few other things upstairs, which is now a complete mess and next weekend's project. Although it won't be complete for awhile. Progress is the name of the game. And, I'm sure we'll just continue to juggle things throughout the next couple of years.

On Sunday, we sat down to finalize the other name game. We have decided on naming him Fletcher Davis Williams. Everette and Emerson were front runners for a very long time. Then when I was at my parents' house over Christmas I looked at a list of names to identify people in some old picture. On that list, I saw Fletcher (which we hadn't thought of) and Harrison (which we had thought of before). Turns out, we both liked the sound of Fletcher so it moved up the list. While we were chatting back and forth on Facebook about his name, we both typed in Fletcher at the same time. We didn't intend to use family names because a lot of the ones we like are super popular, so we were avoiding them. But Fletcher was my great-grandfather's middle name on my dad's side. So I guess we're using a family name. Davis just came off our larger list and flowed better than other names.

On Monday, Jesse got to go with me to his first pregnancy check-up. We thought it would be a belly check, urine check, and blood pressure check, and that's it. But they snuck us into the ultrasound room so Jesse could see his son! They even switched it to 3D for us too. He really liked it and once again, Fletcher was very active through the whole process! We feel so blessed that everything is going well so far. Only 6.5 weeks to go. Here are some pictures from the ultrasound.

So fun!!! I like the name, my kind of style since we go for not popular, family names as well. (Though don't look up how popular Audrey and especially Owen are getting these days. Oh well!)
